The mansion was built in 1864. Once the dwelling of an eminent family, it has been classified as a historical listed building that is representative of the neoclassical style, which flourished in 19th century Ermoupolis.
The mansion was restored from ground-up in 2016. It was the current owners' passion for that romantic era and neoclassicism that guided the restoration. The result was truly amazing, a fully-functional modern five-star guest house in a superbly restored 19th century mansion.
Vaporetto was named after the noble quarter, “Vaporia” (which is another word for “ships” in Greek), where it is situated. The residence has 3 levels, ground floor, first floor and rooftop terrace, 135m2 each. From the rooftop terrace one can enjoy the stunning view to the Aegean blue waters, Little Venice and Ermoupolis.
The mansion is available for rental as a whole house and not as separated rooms.
